Moonshine Hillclimb brings racers, families and fans together for one of motorsports' most exciting disciplines. Come race the hill, camp for the weekend, and experience Moonshine from the fence line.

AMA membership is required to compete. Riders are responsible for meeting event and AMA requirements.

Current AMA membership is required. Purchase online before the event or at the hill during registration. AMA competition age for classes is your age as of January 1.

Required Gear

Helmet, goggles, boots and long sleeves are required. Youth riders must wear a chest protector.

Machine Safety

All machines must have a functioning tether/kill switch and meet applicable class and event requirements.

Absolutely No Pit Riding

No pit riding. Help us keep riders, spectators, children and staff safe.

Friday gates open at noon for camping and vendors. Food vendors and event amenities vary by race weekend. No motorized vehicles are permitted in the spectator area.

MOONSHINE HISTORY

A hillclimb tradition
reborn.

The original Moonshine Hillclimb ran from 1998–2007.

Founded by Randy Maynard, the original property became a major destination for hillclimb racing and hosted Grand National events in 2002 and 2005. Moonshine returned at its new location on October 25, 2025, drawing 466 entries and more than 1,000 spectators.

Today, the next chapter is being written one run at a time.
